ABOUT BENJAMIN​​

Benjamin Levy is an award-winning, London-based Musical Director, Orchestrator, and Singing Coach who has spent over a decade conducting in musical theatre and choral fields and teaching singing extensively across elite drama schools and beyond.

​

In theatre, his prominent credits include serving as Musical Supervisor for The White Handkerchief (BroadwayOnDemand, BBC 4) and Musical Director for the German Tour of The Music of James Bond. He won the Off-West End "Offie" Award for Best Musical Director for 2022 Off-West End Revival of Godspell, alongside an Off-Comm Award for Ordinary Days (The Cockpit). and was also Musical Director for The Boys From Syracuse (Upstairs At The Gatehouse) and West End Misfits (The Other Palace). His portfolio also features conducting productions of Grease and We Will Rock You for Royal Caribbean, as well as serving as Musical Director for BBC Children in Need at the Natural History Museum.

 

A highly accomplished singing teacher, Ben has taught extensively across the UK's top-tier drama schools including Mountview, Laine Theatre Arts, Italia Conti, and the University of Chichester Conservatoire and he was formerly Head of Music for SLP College. His thriving private practice features West End stars, international touring artists, and recording professionals. Ben’s own training includes an MA in Musical Direction (Mountview), PGCert in Vocal Pedagogy (Distinction) (Voice Study Centre) and BA (Hons) in Music (Voice Major) (The University Of York) and he is an Accredited Vocal Coach with New York Vocal Coaching (NYVC) and Vocal Health First Aider (VHFA) with Vocal Health UK.
